The story begins with Roxy professional surfer and photographer Kassia Meador fresh off a flight from Venice, California to Oahu where she catches a ride with teammates Brazilian surfer and Sports Illustrated model Bruna Schmitz and Honolulu native and World Longboard Champion Kelia Moniz for a week long mind blowing adventure. The girls explore the island capturing rarely seen images while on Kassia’s editorial photo assignment covering Kelia’s favorite local spots while touring in their Ford Fiesta.

This story came about when visionary, charismatic master chef, Ludo Lefebvre, and his Los Angeles cult hit “pop-up” restaurant LudoBites are worshipped by critics and foodies. When Chef Ludo announced he was opening a pop-up restaurant in Hawaii featuring local flavors we paired him up with elite waterman, big wave charger and champion spearfisherman Mark Healey to catch the ingredients. As word spread about the project, fellow foodies 5x World Champ Steph Gilmore and Pipeline charger Reef McIntosh jumped on-board giving Ludo a solid crew to accompany him around the Big Island’s North Kona Coast in search of Lobster, Crab, Uku and other local fish to be prepared, cooked and enjoyed.

The short film series is inspired by John Frieda's Beach Blonde Collection - products that give beach daydreamer's that sun-drenched, wave washed, sandy beach hair effect without the time spent at the beach.
Bright, sun-drenched, summer days spent at the beaches of Byron Bay road tripping the Australian coast making pit stops at some of the most iconic breaks with four girls on a singular mission – to have a little fun and maybe find some surf.
We made the trek, packed tight with five or so boards in our 1980s Jeep Wagoneer from Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast down to Bryon Bay. Exchanging newfound impersonation talents by Felicity Palmateer with our playlists on full blast and forging new friendships along the way.
We surfed the iconic break, Snapper Rocks in Coolangatta, with Alessa Quizon prepping for her next stop on tour. Afterwards, we jetted down to the Point at Lennox and visited local garage sales, because naturally, shopping is always a must. We surfed Tallows and the Pass off Watagoes in Byron Bay and let our hair down for a bit while Josie Prendergast gave us the local treatment along with a hi/hello to everyone in Byron.
We threw on swimmers, switched to wetsuits, back to basics, stayed up late, got up early and did it all over again, changing from top knots to huns, beachy waves to braids, sea salt spray back to detangling conditioner. Day in and day out.
It was a consistent stream of stopping by the best bakeries for a little breaky (mostly Top Shop for some really good coffee and flat whites), letting Pacha Light bust out some epic dance moves and freestyling midday while wave watching Creed and Rasta. We hung with the locals, snapped pictures with some German tourists, smiled a lot, laughed until our bellies hurt, did some rain dancing at Killen Falls and surfed a little more. And we can’t forget about learning how to ‘Chuck a u-ey (aka make a u-turn) and somehow managed to always find our way.
As everyday ended we mastered the ‘I’ve Surfed All Day Look’, and as every pitstop began we gave our beach waves and upgrade with the help of John Frieda.

Imagine what would happen if you took DC’s dream team of athletes Danny Way, Rob Dyrdek, Dave Mirra, Bruce Irons, Travis Rice and Travis Pastrana and sat them down with a guy used to interviewing the world’s biggest actors and movie stars. If you guessed pure chaos and comedy would result, you’d be right, especially when the guys being interviewed are the DC team riders and the guy doing the interviews is James Lipton. The host of Bravo’s “Inside the Actor’s Studio." 18 Commercials were produced and a lot of fun had by all.

Who’s going to believe that a skateboarder in baggy jeans can sink a basket from 60 feet away, one-handed, over the shoulder with his back turned? That’s just one of the shots in this insane 60 second video highlighting seven of DC’s pro skaters who can alley-pop as well as ollie.
So outrageous are the shots, most viewers assume they’re fake or staged. “It’s 100 percent real” says Colin Mckay, one of the ballin’ boarders. In one scene, Colin skates up to the edge of a 13-foot pipe at the indoor skate park at DC Shoes in Vista, Calif., and tosses a ball into a basket 30 feet away while his miniature pinscher, Reggie looks on. “We took about ten tries.”
The riders shoot hoops to warm up before they skate or when they get bored. In one shot Rob Dyrdrek, now of MTV Show fame, bounces a ball between his legs to Ryan Gallant who swats the ball into the basketball with his skateboard like a bat. This legendary video is credited to inspiring a new generation of trick shot artistry platforms like Dude Perfect.
Video was shown by a variety of sports and pop culture media channels and press outlets including ESPN, Sports Illustrated, FOX Sports, MTV, Discovery Channel and was broadcast during March Madness and NBA Playoffs & Finals broadcasts on network TV.
